Thestral

So my mother reminded me this morning of how I was totally Harry Potter for Halloween in third grade, and how she made me a Nimbus Two Thousand. It was awesome. I was then inspired to draw one of my favorite magical beasts from Harry Potter, the epic and probably huge pain-in-the-ass to ride Thestral.

I drew this while I was watching Insidious like a boss ((like a moron)) and while I know it's not exactly what the movie-thestrals look like, it is clearly not an Abraxan, so I am satisfied.

Was anybody else disgusted with how they did Lupin's werewolf form in Prisoner of Azkaban? Seriously guys, you can make willows whomp and snakes jump out of old ladies, but you can't create a decent werewolf? Seriously, it looked like the love child of Gollum and a leper.

So, yeah. Here's my pony. Let's all have a moment of silence for my poor tortillion, which really was a champ in helping me with this drawing.
